WordPress Optimised Cloud Hosting

Part of keeping websites fast, secure and with hardly any downtime is by putting it in a good hosting environment.

This is precisely why we have included it into our core services.

Our hosting is optional.

You can use our security maintenance and website support service without leaving your current hosting. It’s entirely optional.

But it won’t reduce the price.

It’s a lot easier to manage a website if it’s in our hosting, so not moving over won’t affect the price.

Cloud hosting vs. shared hosting—which is better?

Cloud hosting is infinitely better than cheap cPanel hosting because:

  • It’s a lot more secure; Cloud hosting technology is newer and structured more securely than the older hosting environments.
  • You won’t be sharing the hosting software with hundreds of other websites which could deplete the resources and pose as a security risk.
  • If you need more resources you can scale up the server resources in a matter of minutes. On older hosting infrustructures you would need to schedule a migration which could take a day or more to implement.
  • The technology of cloud servers can give your site blazing fast load speed.
We use Amazon cloud hosting, the fastest on the planet.

We’ve tested the same website on lots of different hosting providers. We found Amazon cloud hosting to yield the fastest results. It even outperformed Google’s cloud hosting in Google’s own speed tests!

This is why we now use Amazon cloud hosting for most of the sites we manage.

We have small server clusters close to your target market.

The hosting service included in our plans involves being hosted on one of our managed clusters. We manage small server clusters in Australia, Europe and the US and we will place your website where it is closest to the bulk of your website visitors.

Unlike traditional shared hosting where there are hundreds of sites crammed in one server, there are only five to a dozen sites in a server to share resources with so that we can more easily manage the load and make sure your website has plenty of resources.

Server clusters are ideal for sites that can be cached.

This setup is ideal if your website can be mostly cached. It means your site can handle high traffic without affecting its performance and those in your server cluster.

Before we add your website to a cluster, we first perform a week of live testing where we put your website on its own server to gauge it’s resource requirements.

After that, we can assign your website to the most appropriate cluster. But if your website needs more resources, we’ll recommend a dedicated server.

You can have your own dedicated server if needed.

If you’re a large ecommerce or membership website or your site simply can’t be cached, you might need your own dedicated server. We can also set it up and manage it for you but there will be an extra cost depending on the resource requirements.

Dedicated servers can be scaled up if you need more resources.

We can scale it up and down to meet your needs. If you have a promotion going on for example, and traffic is expected to be high, we can scale up during the promo period and scale it down again once it’s over. But this can incur additional costs.

We recommend setting up Cloudflare.

Whether you decide to go with our hosting or not, we recommend you set up a Cloudflare account. We can also set this up for you.

Why we recommend it.

Cloudflare is a free service which offers a number of benefits:

  • Your site will be protected from DDoS attacks.
  • It filters out spam bots.
  • It boosts your site’s load speed.
  • It’s very easy to switch from one server to another if there are problems with your current server.
  • It stores and serves up the cached copies of your website from data centers in all major cities.
We don’t host emails.

Although we don’t host emails, we do make sure emails are sent from your website and that it’s connected to your CRM.

It’s best to use a professional email hosting service.

It’s not a good idea to host emails on a web server. Aside from the fact that it’s not built for that, you will also have connections and spam issues.

We recommend using G-Suite, Microsoft Office 365 and similar pro email hosting providers.

We’ll help set up G-Suite for you.

We can assist in setting a G-Suite account for you. But you’ll have to engage a separate IT professional to help with you with Microsoft Office 365 setup.
