Website Page Speed Service

Speed matters in websites. It’s both a ranking factor and a gauge to measure overall user experience which both leads to higher conversion rates.

We help speed up your site in two ways:

To address the problem of slow speeds, both on desktop and on mobile, we have incorporated page speed optimisation into our core services. How does this service work?

  1. Request for a free speed audit.
  2. You can request for a free speed audit from us. We will check your site to determine how it’s doing and create a report that includes our recommendations on how to improve it.

Some of the recommendations are quoted and some are covered if you are under our Velocity Plan.

  1. Velocity Plan for monthly speed check-ups.
  2. Your site may be fast enough now. But over time, as you update and add more content to it, it will start to slow down.

If you don’t want this to happen to your site, you can sign up for our Velocity Plan. We will regularly audit and optimise your site so it stays fast month after month.

What are the main areas we look at in our audit?

We will take a look at certain key areas of your site and from there, assess how we can improve its performance.

  • Hosting
  • Hosting affects how fast your site delivers content, so it’s one of the first things we check.

If you are on our hosting, you can be sure you are on the fastest hosting possible. After testing a number of different hosting platforms, we found Amazon cloud hosting to be the best. This is what we use for our hosting service.

  • Content Delivery Network
  • We also check if you have Content Delivery Network such as cloudflare and make sure it’s integrated with your website’s caching.

  • Website caching
  • Often, there are a few different layers of caching going on. How the CDN cache interacts with your browser caching affects load speed. We also check how well your server caching is performing.

  • File size
  • The smaller the file size, the faster it will load. We have different strategies to reduce the file size of your site such as optimising media and fixing how it’s set up and displayed on your site.

  • Loading priority
  • Only the things that are most important to display at the top part of the webpage should load first. The rest should not hold up the initial page load. This is another metric included in Google’s core web vitals.
